Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is a relatively common chronic pain condition that affects the heels and feet. The plantar fascia is the flat tissue band that connects your heel bone and toes, supporting the arch of your foot. Altogether, this contributes to the foot’s stability and movement. If the plantar fascia becomes inflamed or agitated due to little tears, individuals will experience pain in the heel of their foot. Because chronic inflammation can weaken the plantar fascia, heel pain should not go ignored.

There are a number of treatment options available ranging from more conservative interventions, such as physical therapy, to more interventional forms of treatment, including steroid injections. In rare cases, surgery may be recommended to provide pain relief. We encourage you to consult with one of our pain specialists to discover the best option for you!
