Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Analyze computer systems and procedures, consult with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications, and develop technical/information systems solutions to improve function and meet user needs.

· Continually perform systems analysis and make and support recommendations to executive leaders of modifications or additions to systems based on user needs or design specifications and implement such changes to the systems. Make and support recommendations and purchase hardware and software for the organization. Consult with executive team leaders to determine the role of the IT system.

· Provide extensive support of desktop and server software such as Windows systems/servers (Win10/2008R2), VoIP telephony, MPLS, DNS, AD, DFS, Hyper-V, Firewall/Security, Backups, Disaster Recovery, Google Apps and Cloud systems.

· Preserve assets by developing and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.

· Maintain organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing technologies

· Provide in-person, remote desktop, and phone support for 50+ users throughout the company, including in-office, remote office, and field personnel for IT technical matters. Handling 1st, 2nd, and at times, 3rd tier support. Provide new employee orientation on systems.

· Accomplish helpdesk support staff results by staffing, communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; review professional publications, establish personal networks; benchmark state-of-the art practices;

Position Summary

Responsible for all facets of medical billing and A/R follow-up including but not limited to charge entry, payment posting, claims follow-up, appeal of denials in accordance with practice protocol with an emphasis on maximizing profitability. Responsible for reviewing the patient demographic information in the practice management system at the time of charge entry to ensure accuracy and to provide feedback to the front office staff regarding patient registration. Responsible for reviewing the provider’s coding at the time of charge entry to ensure accuracy, timely payments, and to maximize revenue. Responsible for submitting insurance claims both electronically once per day and on paper semi-weekly.

This position requires a comprehensive understanding of accounts receivable processes, policies and procedures in a healthcare setting. This position requires strong working knowledge of managed care plans, insurance carriers, referrals and precertification procedures. Also required is a strong working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, modifiers, coding and documentation guidelines. Strong customer service, organizational and communication skills are essential to this position. In addition, strict adherence to write-off policies, refund policies and other accounts receivable policies as defined by the practice is required. This position requires an ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in an occasionally stressful environment. Also required are general computer skills, typing skills and a working knowledge of Medicare Compliance and HIPAA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review charges for appropriate modifiers, diagnoses that support medical necessity and adherence to payer guidelines.
  • Verify patient benefit eligibility/coverage and research ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT treatment codes as needed.
  • Submit claims to payers via clearinghouse both electronically and on paper.
  • Correct and resubmit claims that fail clearinghouse or payer edits.
  • Work outstanding Accounts Receivable from collector queues with proficiency.

Position Summary

Colorado Pain Care (CPC) is looking to hire experienced Medical Assistants for our Golden, Denver, and Castle Rock locations. The Medical Assistant (MA) will perform administrative and clinical duties under the direction of the Practice Manager and Attending Physician/Advanced Practice Provider. The MA will be responsible for assisting all clinical providers as needed in the clinical setting while adhering to all CPC policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Rooms all patients according to the specifications of the clinic and provider
  • Prepares charts for all clinical patients
  • Performs in-take of all required patient vital signs and clinical information with proper documentation
